Maximum Ride Book #1

"To them, we're six moving targets- prey smart enough to be a fun challenge. Basically they want to rip our throats out. And make sure the world never finds out about us. Welcome to our nightmare."
Fang, Max, Iggy, Nudge, Gasman, and Angel were six average kids. Until they got captured by nasty evil scientists. They were implanted by DNA of birds. They inherit wings, and natural abilities that are unlike any other normal human being could have. Man-made half human, half wolf creatures called Erasers are after them. They want to kill and tear them to shreds. But the group tries their hardest not to let that happen. They go through many life-changing endeavors. Together they have to have teamwork to go through all these problems that cross this path of theirs.

I think the author's style is funny in areas. Some are serious. He also explains a lot in detail so it is a lot easier to understand what exactly is going on. I really like his style of writing. I really love this book. I would definitely recommend this book. It is very enjoyable. It really keeps me on my toes and I could not put this book down. Even after I finished the book I wanted to read more and more! Luckily for me, there is more to the series. I can't get enough of it. I really think what the author was trying to say, was life could be a lot worse. Never know, you could be one of the gang and get wings and have to be scared to death because of nasty creatures called Erasers coming after you! Life could be worse. (Basically I'm in love with this book!)

  1. I am very happy that I read this review because I have been looking for an action book and this book seems perfect. It kind of reminds me of the Maze Runner with the whole evil scientist idea. I am definitely adding this to my list.

  2. A lot of students have really enjoyed this series. I think it would be cool to fly, but it would really be weird to have wings. Patterson is pretty prolific and has written some other interesting series.

  3. I love how you said that this book really made you want to read more because I love to read series! Wings would be so weird, but at least they could probably fly away from the Eraser things!

  5. I have heard about this book and now I want to read it so bad. You did great at describing the book. I liked the way you "broke down" the book at the end. Good review.
