My Vicksburg
Ann Rinaldi
Tanner Dorman

I loved this book because it was really interesting and it had allot of action. It tells the story of a family that has to move out of their house and go to live in a cave and this family is all for the confederates and their on Landon joins they Yankees as a doctor and the dad joins as a medic for the confederates and they are kind of at war and Landon brings home a wanted man Named Robert home and  is going to turn him in but his little sister named Claire Louise helps him escape and gives him her horse named Jewel and he runs away.
I would recommend this book who likes war and excitement because there is war and excitement in all of the whole book.
one quote that i liked from this book was that "the shells were hitting like an angyry bee hive" because it is so true and it actually means something.
This book is based on the battle in vicks burg and life was rough at that time because all of the residents had to live in caves and eat rats.

  1. Dang, Dorkman. This sounds pretty intense based on having to move to a cave.
Historical fiction has always fascinated me because it leaves me thinking "Did stuff like this really happen?" Nice review.

  2. This sound like a sweet book because it sounds like there is a lot of war and fighting. It would be so scary to get kicked out of your house because of the war. Really great book review Tanner.
