Super Sid
Super Sid is a book about a rugby player who played for the New Zealand All Blacks team in the 1980's. He was a truly inspired player who was LDS and wouldn't play on the games that were on Sunday. Sid Going was called to go on a mission at age twenty in the middle of the rugby season. He had to decide to go on a mission or play rugby. He decided to go on a mission. When he got home from his mission, he was offered to play on the New Zealand team; and he ended up as one of the greatest rugby players in the world.

It's nice to see a sports story about a person that lived a good life as well as being a great sports' star. It's important to find good role models.

ReplyDeleteThis book sounds like a good book. I love rugby and have always wonted to play. I think I'm going to read this book some time soon.
ReplyDeleteGreat book review. I like how he is LDS and he still went on a mission and got called back to join the New Zealand team.
ReplyDeleteI like Rugby. It is cool to read about a guy that gave up a couple of years of his life to quit rugby. I guess that really paid off for him! I will check this out because it sounds awesome!
