Cardboard

By: Doug Tennepel
This book is about a dad named mike and his son named cam.One day mike was coming home from work and found a stand that was selling old toys.It was cams birthday so he stopped by. The person that was selling the toys was weird and crazy. Mike asked if he had anything cool for under a dollar. The crazy guy said ''we have magic cardboard''. But the dad thought he was crazy and that its not magic. But he bought it. Before he left the crazy man forgot to tell him something, the rules about the cardboard. When he gets home he and his son make a boxing cardboard robot and does not now the secrets about the cardboard.

It came alive, it was really magic. They had lots of fun with the robot and wanted to make another person but they were almost out of cardboard and did not have enough to make a second one. Cams neighbor arcus is not a nice person and bullies him and all the other neighbors. When arcus finds out about the cardboard he wants cam to give it to him but he does not. when cam was sleeping he soon finds out that the cardboard is gone, what Marcus does not now is that something terrible is going to happen
characters: Mike, Cam, and Marcus.
Setting: takes place in Cams house, out side and in Marcus's house.
I think any one from 11 years old to 14 years old would like this book.
favorite quote: Is this ever going to end! said cam.

  1. That sounds like an interesting book. I think it would be weird if a crazy dude came up to me and said " we have magic cardboard." I think I would run away screaming.

  2. You know how little kids sometimes love the box more than the present? This sounds like an amplified version of that premise. Who wouldn't want to have magic cardboard, however it sounds like there are unintended consequences.

  3. This book looks very cool. I always think of what it would be like to have real life robots! Great job on the book review.
