The book that i have read is called Chains. It is a very good book and it is pretty sad. What the book is about is a little girl named Isabel and her little sister Ruth, this takes place during the revolutionary war. Isabel is so exited because she thinks that she is free when her Madam dies, but instead her and her sister are sold to one of the meanest families in the whole town. A couple monthes pass while they are living with the new family and Isabel is asked to spy on her family that has information about the war from a slave she does and is sucseful the first time but when her sister is beat brutaly she finds that her loylaty belongs to her sister, and she finds a way for her sister to be free!!! I would recomend this book because it really gives you an idea about what slaves were treated like and it is very heart warming.

The Chronicles of Vladimir Tod
The Chronicles of Vladimir Tod is a book about a fourteen year old boy named Vlad. Vlad isn't any normal old person though, he is actually half vampire. After his parents died in an unexplained house fire accident, Vlad moved in to live with his aunt Nellie. When a strange substitute teacher begins to question Vlad a little to closely, he begins to worry that his cover is about to be blown. Little does Vladimir know, there is a much greater danger about to strike.
I really liked this book, it was a fast read and it was very intense. I would definitely suggest this book, especially for Twilight fans.

The Fairytale Detectives
Sabrina and Daphne's parents mysteriously disappeared when they were younger. They were sent to live in an orphanage. From time to time they were sent to live in Foster Homes with crazy people, but despite all of their brilliant escapes, nothing could prepare them for who's next. A woman who claims that she's their grandmother adopts them. Sabrina and Daphne would have been overjoyed, but their parents told them that their grandmother died before Sabrina was born! To top it all off their "grandmother" says that they are descendants of the fairytale writers, the Brothers Grimm. Also, the fairy tales aren't just stories, they are real events that have happened. Of course Sabrina doesn't believe her, but her little sister Daphne believes the old woman. She tries to get Daphne to leave the crazy woman, but during their attempt to run away a giant kidnaps the old woman. Now the two girls have to work together to save their grandmother.
If you like adventurous fiction books, you would like this.
My favorite quote: "How did you know that we could get him to do whatever we want if we pretended he was in charge?" Sabrina asked Daphne. "It's what I do with you," the little girl replied. "You two are exactly the same."
I loved this book, because I love fairy tales and mystery.

The Last Apprentice: Wrath Of The Bloodeye
This book is about a spook's apprentice, named Tom Ward. He has spent two years as a spook's apprentice. He has faced many evil, and has survived. Now the spook want's to send Tom Ward to one of his other apprentices, to strengthen his skills. While he was over there he was training with Bill Arkwright, who was very demanding, and had very harsh teaching ways. While he is at his house training a new witch appears, and is very dangerous. This witch has it's very own spy that is a bird. Bill Arkwright has two dogs that help him kill the witches, but not even the dogs might be much help against the the bloodeye (which is the witch). My favorite quote was " I never miss" from the words of grimilkin, which is a witch assassin. I recommend this book to people who like adventure and mild fantasy.
Only the Good Spy Young
If you are looking for an exciting book that will keep you reading all night, then I recommend 'Only the Good Spy Young.' The author is Ally Carter, and there are three books before this one in the series. I have read them all, and have fallen in love with them! Now I just have to wait for the next book to come out.
It is about a girl named Cammie who goes to a secret spy school just for girls. She is faced with many challenges such as, finding out the truth about her favorite teacher and clearing his name, trying to find out the secret that her 'boyfriend' Zack has been keeping from her, and last but definitely not least, not dying.
Find out if Cammie will be able to solve her problems in time to not only save herself, but save the people she loves.

The Son of Neptune
The Son of Neptune is the second book in the "Heroes of Olympus" series. The Son of Neptune is about Percy, Hazel, and Frank. Percy has lost his memory and been chased around by monsters for quite a while and suddenly he finds Camp Jupiter. Camp Jupiter is a camp for half-bloods just like Percy. Percy meets Hazel and Frank there and they all immediately become friends. Percy, Hazel, and Frank are sent on a quest to Alaska. Alaska is considered the land beyond the gods. When demi-gods are in Alaska, they are not able to reach any gods for help. The 3 of them are sent to Alaska to close the doors of death and find Camp Jupiter's gold eagle. They face many different issues in this book, though. You will have to read this book to see if Percy, Hazel, and Frank can accomplish all of there goals.
I really liked this book because it had lots of action and adventure in it. I also liked how the author (Rick Riordan) switched off who was telling the story. Having Hazel's, Percy's, and Frank's point of you made it great. On a scale of one to ten, I would give this book a nine. I think that anyone who likes adventure would really like this book.
My favorite quote from the book was: "Percy," Frank said uneasily."What's the scary woman with the dagger talking about?"
The Hourglass Door
This book is about a girl, Abby, just when she thinks her life is perfect everything gets turned around when a boy name Dante Alexander, foreign-exchange student from Italy comes into her world. He is interesting, and mysterious, and unlike anyone she has ever met before. Abby can't get enough of him, with his dark hair, and his blue-gray eyes. Abby finds out secrets Dante has been keeping from everyone, secrets that draw Abby into the sixteenth-century Florence, and uncovers a dangerous truth that threatens not just her future but the lives she loves as well.
Spence and Dieter are fighting for the same thing in this book. All though on different sides they are fighting for recognition. Spence, a boy at age 17 joins the paratroopers. Dieter, at sixteen is a gefolgshaftsfuhrer, or a leader of the HJ or Hitler youth. Soon he is called to defend Germany. Both expect to be heroes. They soon find out that war is what they think it is. I loved this book because of all the action and adventure. I also love World War II. This book is good for any one who likes world war two and historical fiction. My favorite line is " Spence didn't know where Pearl Harbor was but his sister made is sound like it was out in the great salt lake"
