Band Of Brothers

Have ever finished reading a historical fiction book and wondered if the characters were real? In this book, Band of Brothers, the characters are all real. This book takes you back in time to the 1940's. It is about the 101'st airborne division. This story takes you from Storming the beaches on Normandy to peace keeping in Austria. I loved this book. I would recommend this book to any one who loves history and a little bit of comedy. My favorite quote is" Christensen got so drunk he was "making out with the toilet"

Light in the Forest

In this book a white boy is kidnapped by Indians when he was about 1 years old, the Indians take him back to his tribe with many others that they took. A Indian man who was called Cyhoke took the little boy and renamed him True Son. Many years later A army of white men come and demand the return of True Son and the others that had been kidnapped. The Indians give them back in fear for their people. True Son goes back to England and meets his real family. In disappointment and sadness for leaving Cyhoke he runs away back to his Indian tribe. When he finally gets back to his tribe they plan a attack on the next boat that comes in full of white people. At first True Son thinks that this is a great and wonderful Idea, but the day of the attack he sees the boat and his white brother is on board. In fear that he would get hurt True Son stops the whole attack and tells the boat to turn around and go back. When True Son returns to his tribe they all want to kill him and set him in the fire. Cyhoke loved him so much that he convinced the leader of the tribe to let True Son go. Cyhoke talks to True Son and tells him that he can never com back. With no home for True Son he is on his own. Now go like an Indian, True Son. Give me no more shame. I did not love this book but i still thought that it was a good book, what i liked about it is that there was action in it and in some of the parts you stop and think what is going to happen next? I would recommend this book to those who are interested in Indians or to people who have to do a report on Whites and Indians.

One day her Grandfather dies and Kit has no choice but to sell her Grandfather's Mansion and go to Wethersfield, Connecticut to find her aunt that she has never met. When she gets there, it is much drearier than she expected, it is rainy and foggy and always cold. Kit is miserable. It is only when Kit meets Hannah, the "witch of blackbird pond" that her problems begin to resolve. "Hannah cheers everyone up with some blueberry cornbread and a kitten" said Nat, Hannah's other friend.
I did not like this book and would only recommend it to people who like Newbery medal winners and older history books.

Beyonders

Jason was working at the zoo one day when he heard music coming out of a hippos mouth. He was leaning over the edge listening to the music when he slipped in and fell into the hippos mouth. He ended up in a mysterious world called Lyrain. Lyrain is a place ruled by an evil wizard name Maldor. Jason was trying to find his way home when he found The Respiratory of Learning. While Jason was there he learned the first syllable of the word that would destroy Maldor if said next to him. If you learn this syllable you're at the top of Maldors kill list. Many people had tried to put together the word but all of them had failed. Jason decided to try and put together the word and destroy Maldor. Jason met up with Rachel who was also drawn from our world to Lyrian. Jason and Rachel decided to go off on a epic journey to put together the word and destroy Maldor.

I loved this book and I would recommend this book to people who are looking for adventure and action. I would give this book a nine out of ten. My favorite quote if "The knowledge you now possess marks you for prompt execution the first syllable is "A"."

Together, they help Mary keep her secret and try to keep anything bad from happening to her. But how long will Mary's secret stay that way? Find out by reading Witch Child.
I loved this book. It tells of the monster that lives inside of man. Always looking for someone to blame. It also has adventure in it.

The Secret Journal of Brett Colton

Kathy Colton can't stand it when her family talks about her older brother, Brett. Brett died of leukemia at age 17. Kathy doesn't remember her brother because she was two when he died. On Kathy's sixteenth birthday she discovers Brett's secret journal, that was written just for her. While reading it Kathy finds out about the brother she never knew. At the same time Kathy is dealing with tutoring. She is not just tutoring anyone, but the Central High's starting quarterback, Jason West. Jason is also a mormon, which can't have Kathy's mom more worried.
With all this going on Kathy starts to change from who she used to be. She actually starts to enjoy hearing about Brett and could she possibly be falling for Jason? Things couldn't change more, or could they?

I really enjoyed this book. I liked how it was different by bringing up religion in a romance kind of way. I would rate it at a 9 out of 10 because the author used the same descriptive words a lot in the book. I felt like I was reading the same sentence over and over again. Besides that I loved everything about this book. I would recommend this for pre-teen or teenage girls. I think women that are older could also enjoy this book. One of my favorite quotes in the book was by Kathy, "Good grief, Mom- he's just a football player. He's not a hardened criminal!" I hope you read this book. Once you start reading it, you woun't be able to put it down!

The Lost Hero

This book is about 3 kids who are on a quest to save the goddess Hera who has been trapped. While doing the quest Jason, Piper, and Leo are going to try to save pipers dad as well. Jason doesn't know who he is, and doesn't know where he came from. Piper is missing her dad. Leo can make fire out of his hands and burned his house. My favorite quote of the book was "I'm Dylan. I'm so cool. I want to date myself, but I don't know how! You want to date me instead? You're so lucky!" I liked this book because it has a lot of action in it, and packed with adventure. I would recommend this book to anyone that liked the Percy Jackson series, The Red Pyramid, or likes mythology, action, and lots of adventure!

Matched

Matched is about a girl and her name is Cassia. The book starts off with Cassia being matched. This is a very important night and it is all about her. As she sees her match, she is so relieved that it is her best friend and she knows everything about him. She receives the micro card that they give the matches that explain everything about the person they are matched with. She gets the micro card and as her matches face appears on the screen she knows he is the one. The screen flashes and then someone else face appears on the screen for an instant and then it turns black. It is not her match. Cassia is very alarmed and worried. Now Cassia has to choose between Xander and Ky. She has to choose between a normal life that she could be happy with or to follow a path no one else has dared to follow, between perfection and passion.

I really liked this book. When I read sometimes I have a hard time sticking to the book and reading cover to cover but with this book I could not put it down. You want to know everything that is happening. I loved reading this book and discussing it with everyone who has read it and I encourage my friends to read it too. It is really good if you like romance and futuristic books. The sequel to this book is coming out and I can not wait to read it!
